Abstract:
In the current conditions of transformation of economic systems and increasing uncertainty, investment support for development acquires strategic importance at the meso, macro, and micro levels. The effectiveness of managing investment policy directly influences the dynamics of economic growth, the competitiveness of economic entities, and their adaptability to external challenges. In this regard, there is a growing need to rethink the content of investment policy, clarify methodological approaches to its implementation, and ensure logical integration of concepts that determine its theoretical basis. The aim of the article is to systematize the theoretical and methodological aspects of the process of managing investment policy in the context of modern economic relations. The article analyzes the approaches to defining the concepts of «management», «investment», «investment activity», «investment process», «policy», and «investment policy». The article reveals the logic of the interconnection between key concepts that form the methodological foundation of investment policy, taking into account different approaches to their interpretation. Based on the systematization of these concepts, the author provides a definition of the term «management of investment policy» as an integrated process that combines management functions with the tasks of ensuring efficient investment, sustainable development of an enterprise (or the economy as a whole), and achieving a positive economic effect. Thus, the management of investment policy by economic entities is presented as a multi-aspectual concept that requires the alignment of theoretical approaches to basic economic and managerial categories. The application of such an approach enables strengthening the methodological foundation for forming investment policy and promotes the development of effective managerial decisions both at the level of individual economic entities and within the economic regulation system as a whole.
