Abstract:
The article explores the innovative activity of enterprises as a key factor in the structural modernization of the economy amid post-war transformation. The article emphasizes the importance of stimulating the innovation component in the development strategies of enterprises of various ownership structures and industry orientations, operating under conditions of heightened uncertainty, resource constraints, and the need to adapt to new realities of the socioeconomic environment. The article clarifies the essence of the concept of «innovative activity» in the context of a modern economy undergoing profound changes related to the reconstruction of destroyed production capacities, infrastructure modernization, the implementation of digital technologies, and ensuring sustainable development. The key principles on which the system of innovation activities of enterprises should be based during the transitional period have been analyzed as: integrity, flexibility, adaptability, openness to partnership, and government support. Particular attention has been given to the regulatory and legal aspects of organizing innovation activities, in particular the role of the State innovation policy, tax incentives, funding programs, and institutional support for innovation-oriented enterprises. The factors hindering the development of the innovation environment in Ukraine have been characterized, including insufficient funding, lack of coordination between research institutions and business, shortage of qualified personnel, and limited access to modern technologies. The main challenges facing enterprises in the context of post-war recovery have been highlighted as: the need for rapid production recovery, simultaneous implementation of innovations, maintaining competitiveness, and developing export potential. The article also explores promising directions for creating an efficient system of innovative activity, which should combine elements of State support, private initiative, and international cooperation. The authors emphasize the importance of cross-sectoral interaction, the development of cluster associations, support for startup ecosystems, and the implementation of digital innovations. The conclusion is drawn that only a system approach to forming an innovation model for enterprise development can ensure sustainable economic growth of the country in the long term and facilitate its integration into the global economic space.
