Abstract:
The article examines the specific features of the impact of economic globalization on the sustainable development of enterprises under current conditions of global economic transformation. The essence of globalization processes is revealed as a multi-level transformation of the economic environment, including trade liberalization, capital mobility, digital technology development, the spread of international standards, and increasing political and economic instability. It is substantiated that globalization is not only a source of new opportunities for enterprises but also a significant destabilizing factor, which necessitates the development of effective adaptation mechanisms and management strategies. It is determined that the conception of sustainable development is undergoing substantial content transformation within the global economy, particularly due to the growing importance of ESG factors in strategic planning. The main mechanisms of globalization’s influence on enterprise activities are identified, including integration into global value chains, financial liberalization, digitalization, intensification of competition, and the spread of exogenous risks. Special attention is paid to the structure of an adaptation model based on balancing external challenges and the internal potential of the enterprise. The need for the implementation of innovation-oriented crisis management tools, the formation of digital infrastructure, the enhancement of organizational flexibility, and the strengthening of human capital is substantiated. It is emphasized that enterprise adaptation to globalization changes is not only a reactive tool but also a prerequisite for maintaining competitive positions, ensuring economic resilience, and supporting long-term development in an uncertain global environment. It is proved that only a comprehensive consideration of internal resources and external influences ensures effective strategic renewal and increased business resilience in the global arena.
