Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the analysis of economic growth models of enterprises producing livestock products. It has been determined that there is no single universal model that guarantees success. Under conditions of limited resources and increasing demands for product quality and environmental sustainability, extensive growth models (increasing volumes by expanding resources) are ineffective and unviable in the long term. The future of animal husbandry lies in intensive models based on increasing productivity and efficiency in resource use through innovation, technological modernization, and investments in human capital. The most progressive model is sustainable development, which integrates economic efficiency with ecological responsibility and social well-being. It is determined that growth models should take into account not only economic indicators but also social responsibility and environmental impact. It is proved that the effective application of growth models largely depends on government policy. Subsidies, preferential lending, a precise legislative framework, infrastructure development, and support for scientific research are important factors that stimulate industry development and help enterprises implement their chosen growth strategies. It is substantiated that enterprises that demonstrate high adaptability to changing market conditions, speed in decision-making, and readiness for constant changes and improvements have the greatest chances for successful economic growth. Therefore, the analysis of economic growth models not only provides theoretical knowledge but also serves as a practical tool for managers and policymakers, allowing them to develop well-founded strategies, effectively allocate resources, and ensure the viability and prosperity of livestock enterprises in Ukraine and globally.
