Abstract:
The article provides a theoretical and economic understanding of economic security in the context of deepening globalization processes, the growth of transnational economic interdependence, and the transformation of the modern system of international relations. The relevance of the study is due to the increase in structural imbalances in the world economy, financial and technological asymmetry between countries, the fragmentation of global markets, as well as the institutionalization of geoeconomic instruments as means of influencing the economic stability of national economies. The aim of the article is to theoretically and economically substantiate the essence of economic security in the context of globalization from the perspective of modern economic theory and the theory of international relations. The methodological basis of the study includes systemic and structural-functional approaches, methods of theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, as well as an indicator-based approach to assessing the parameters of economic security. As a result of the study, economic security has been conceptualized as a dynamic, multi-component system shaped by the interaction of internal economic parameters and the external institutional environment of international relations. The key structural components of economic security (financial stability, technological autonomy, energy balance, trade reliability, and institutional efficiency) have been identified, and their interconnections in a globalized economy have been substantiated. It is demonstrated that economic interdependence, geoeconomic competition, the application of sanctions and technological restrictions, as well as the processes of «technological Balkanization», significantly transform the mechanisms for ensuring the economic security of countries. It is concluded that economic security is a dynamic, multidimensional category based on the balance between integration into the global economy and maintaining strategic autonomy. Its theoretical and economic substantiation is a necessary condition both for the further development of economic security theory and for the formation of well-founded national strategies for economic resilience amid global transformations.

Keywords: economic security, globalization, international relations, technological autonomy, geoeconomics, indicator system.
