Abstract:
The aim of the article is to analyze the key issues of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union under current conditions, specifically the political, economic, and institutional challenges that may slow down or complicate this process. Considering current trends, particular attention is paid to the strengthening influence of right-wing parties in EU countries, the rise of Euroscepticism, internal barriers, among which are corruption, and the necessity of harmonizing legislation with European norms. The role of Ukraine as a strategic partner of the European Union in the spheres of security, stability, and economic integration is examined. The issues of implementing anti-corruption mechanisms and their efficiency in the context of European requirements are discussed. The influence of internal and external factors on the adaptation of the economy to EU standards is analyzed, including the need for substantial investments, the modernization of enterprises, and the opportunities to integrate into European production chains. The article demonstrates that the further development of Ukraine’s European integration largely depends on the resolution of a number of critical issues, including political risks provoked by global changes and the war with the russian aggressor, the efficiency of anti-corruption measures, and the establishment of a stable economic environment. The role of international financial assistance and the prospects for attracting foreign investment to support economic growth and the rebuilding of the country after the war are examined separately. Emphasis is placed on the necessity of strengthening Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts to consolidate the support of European partners and ensure the continuity of the European integration course. Key threats related to political changes in the EU Member States that may influence the dynamics of the Union’s expansion process have been identified. An important aspect is Ukraine’s role as a security outpost for Europe, which requires European institutions to adopt a strategic approach towards the country’s integration. It is proved that further deepening of cooperation with the EU and the implementation of necessary reforms are critically important not only for Ukraine but also for ensuring stability throughout the European region.

Keywords: Ukraine’s European Integration, European Union, political challenges, right-wing parties, anti-corruption mechanisms, economic adaptation.
