Abstract: The aim of the article is to explore the functioning of the HR management service of hotel and restaurant enterprises using the example of the «Baden-Baden» hotel in the city of Kharkiv, to identify its expediency and necessity for ensuring the competitiveness of the enterprise, and to form potential opportunities to increase the efficiency of staff and the enterprise as a whole. The article examines the peculiarities of organizing HR management in the hospitality industry using the example of the «Baden-Baden» hotel located in the city of Kharkiv. The defining aspects of personnel management have been studied, such as recruitment, selection, adaptation, training, motivation, development, evaluation, and retention of employees. Special attention is given to the importance of developing corporate culture, which not only contributes to enhancing the level of customer service but also shapes the image of the enterprise in a competitive market. Corporate culture is defined as one of the leading factors that influence employee engagement levels and their satisfaction with the workplace, which, in turn, directly impacts consumer satisfaction. The main issues that may arise during the operation of hotel HR management are analyzed, including: high staff turnover, challenges with the implementation of automated HR systems, and not always effective motivational approaches, which is especially relevant for establishments located outside the city. Solutions to the identified problems are proposed, in particular the modernization of the employee motivation system, the development of flexible work schedules, and the automation of HR processes through the introduction of human resource information systems (HRIS), which will allow for the optimization of hiring, training, working time accounting, and payroll processes. The practices of other leading Ukrainian hotels that actively implement innovative HR strategies, which contribute to the growth and development of employees, allowing for faster and more accurate identification of qualified candidates, have been considered. Innovative practices create additional conditions for the professional development of staff, enhancing their motivation and loyalty to the enterprise, which is important in competitive market conditions. It is proved that efficient organization of HR management is crucial for the successful operation of the hotel and restaurant industry, enhancing the quality of customer service and loyalty of clientele, and providing a positive image and competitiveness of the enterprise as a whole.
