Abstract:
The article analyzes the main trends and features of one of the key problems in international relations – the global food problem, which reflects the interests of individuals, social groups, society and the world community as a whole in terms of meeting people’s needs for food. A comprehensive analysis of the current state of the world agro-industrial complex in the context of global food security has been carried out. Based on empirical data and theoretical models, it has been demonstrated that the interaction of factors such as climate change, conflicts, and pandemics leads to the destabilization of food systems. Particular attention is paid to the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on Ukrainian agriculture and its consequences for the global food market. The study found significant gaps in food security, especially in Africa and Asia. It is noted that the international community must join forces to overcome these challenges, since global problems require collective solutions. Based on the results obtained, a number of recommendations have been formulated to increase the resilience of global food systems, strengthen the agro-industrial sector, improve infrastructure and introduce the latest technologies that can significantly improve the situation. It is important that countries actively cooperate to make progress on food security. This will not only help reduce the impact of global factors, but also ensure the sustainable development of the world’s food system, contributing to improving the quality of life of the population and reducing the risks of food crises. It is substantiated that an effective solution to the global food problem requires a comprehensive approach, which should include political, economic, and social initiatives.

Keywords: agro-industrial sector, global food problem, food security, international organizations.
