Abstract:
Today’s rapid changes in the conditions of activity of restaurant business enterprises require appropriate decisions from the heads of establishments. New challenges push business entities to look for additional measures to gain competitive advantages. Modern inventions in the field of digital technologies lead to the introduction of digitalization tools as one of the most promising ways to obtain additional success factors among competitors. The aim of the article is to summarize the practical experience of representatives of the hospitality sector of the People’s Republic of China and Ukraine in the implementation of elements of digitalization and to develop an organizational approach to the introduction of organizational and technical inventions in the activities of representatives of the restaurant business. Modern organizational and technological inventions of digitalization are opening up more and more new opportunities both in the activities of enterprises and in customer satisfaction. Managers of restaurant establishments have to make more and more efforts to ensure that visitors can distinguish their establishment from other service providers. The experience of leading restaurants proves that the difference in the attributes of «recognition» of an establishment can be achieved using digitalization tools. The introduction of digitalization elements is becoming an integral part of meeting the desires of visitors to establishments. In the hope of gaining a competitive advantage, restaurant businesses are looking for new ideas either with the help of their own employees or through the involvement of third-party organizations. The search for new ideas can be carried out in groups or individual specialists by: creating focus groups using the brainstorming method; observation of competitors in the market using monitoring; communication with consumers of services who can generate their offers. The introduction of digitalization in restaurants is currently part of the changes taking place in the hospitality industry. This is a set of new and improved tools that will better meet the needs of restaurant consumers. The process of digitalization has become the mainstream of our time in the development of the restaurant business and the hospitality industry as a whole.
